"Bella"

2.5 YRS OLD / FEMALE / NEWFOUNDLAND MIX / SPAYED / 87 lbs. Neglected/abandoned.

*Experienced dog owners only! Not suitable for 1^st time dog owner

Extremely loving, sweet, & really shows her affection. Does very well on leash & loves going for walks

Smart-trains easily (knows basic commands & responds well to her name)

Loves to play fetch w/her oversized tennis ball, loves tug-a-war ropes, & all sorts of toys especially her little stuffed duckie which she holds in her mouth & sucks like a pacifier (cutest thing to see!!!)

House trained-does well inside & out-learns rules/boundaries quickly

Once properly introduced and given ample time to socialize little by little, she does very well with other dogs as long as they are mild mannered/not aggressive

Large/strong breed, so while not aggressive in nature, her size/strength could be an issue for homes with small children (unless they are accustomed to/comfortable being around very large playful dogs)

Currently in a foster home w/her rescuers & their 2 dogs (40lb & 60lb), ‘rehab-ing’ after being neglected, abandoned, & on the street.

"Sparky"- Red Bone Coon Hound mix- 8 Years old

Color- Brendal Thick Build, weight 75 lbs.
- Very, very sweet, Sparky loves belly rubs and constant attention.
- Very sensitive and emotional, (be sure to keep blinds up when gone, he likes to look out the window otherwise he might try to eat them to look out.)
-Loves to be outside (hound dog) and play and explore, but is an indoor dog.
Likes: sleeping in the bed, head and belly rubs, car rides, hiking and exploring, chasing cats.
Very sweet and loving, needs a good home with a family or a couple with a big backyard with room for him to run and play.
Dislikes: thunderstorms, being left alone, getting a bath, getting woken up.
sparky is neutered and up to date on everything, he is also
microchipped! Sparky Loves kids!

"Sindy"

This tiny sweetheart was found on Hwy 5, Douglasville. Dodging cars. Her owners never replied to our plea. Sindy was truly ABANDONED.
Sindy is now currently vetted and undergoing
heartworm treatments. This purebred Border Collie is now available for a permanent loving home.

Sindy Loves other dogs, is tiny at 27 lbs, about 4 yrs old.
She is waiting for her forever home.
The Humane Society handled her vet expenses.
Her adoption donation is $150.00

"Cheyenne" needs a home,

She is a 5 1/2 year old, spayed, mixed breed dog. She is crate trained/house trained and knows basic commands. She is current on all shots, too. She weighs about 80 pounds but thinks she's a lap dog. She loves her family and wants to be around them a lot. She is devoted and a GREAT watch dog. She would do best as a single pet & she doesn't like cats at all. She has a bum knee on one of her back legs but it doesn't slow her down at all. She will play fetch and chase water until she's too tired to move. She is very affectionate to her people - she really is a great dog.

Gib is disabled and has had to move to a place where he can't take his babies. At this point, they are staying in their former home (soon to be put up for sale/rent), while Gib goes by daily to feed, water, and walk them. He has asked for help finding a home for Buddy and Marcel. Both of them are 5 years old, neutered, up-to-date on shots (8/16/10), HW negative.

Buddy: short-haired black & tan dapple male, a little shy until he gets to know you, then he's very loving. he loves to play -- would play 24 hours a day if he could.

Marcel: long-haired red dapple male, outgoing, friendly, likes to play too, but knows when to quit!

Buddy and Marcel are brothers, and have always been together, so they must stay together. They're crate trained, and come with heartguard, frontline, all their toys, and their little dog beds

Mia, tiny, chi-terrier mix needs a home...

Mia was living chained to a tree, little to no shelter only what she could fit under, and no food/water. The humans that had her said they didn't want her, and to take her. She is a wonderful little girl. She's been bathed and nails trimmed ( she loves baths). Mia is available for adoption. The vet said she is 11 pounds and should weigh maybe a little more. We have been feeding her every 3 hours small amounts, to get weight on her. She is heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccines. She does great with toddlers and loves to play fetch. She is fine with cats and is fine with other dogs.
