Gracie

Gracie 1 Gracie 2

This happy girl was abandoned in the lonely night, left without a friend or a home to call her own. Gracie wandered the streets of a suburb looking and hoping for someone, anyone to care. The house she wound up closest to had so many other dogs, they could not keep her. They called the Douglas County Humane Society who then got her to the vet for her vaccinations. Once she was checked out, she was ready for a new and loving home. DCHS had no foster home for Gracie, so she waited in boarding  for someone to take her into their hearts.

It was there that a mother with her two daughters found her. Or to be more precise, Gracie found them. She and several other homeless dogs entered the room with the family, hoping to find a new home. Not wasting anytime, Gracie walked over to the youngest daughter. She sat down right next to her, as if to say 'I'll  protect you, you are my human, I want to go with you.'  Gracie went home for forever, with her loving family!

Shelly

The Humane Society saved Shelly.  She needed immediate abdominal surgery to save her life.
Her family lost their young son in the Carrollton School Bus accident last year.  Now they were very close to losing their only dog, and the neighborhood children's favorite buddy, Shelly.
Please consider contributing to her support.  She has pulled through the surgery and will be running from child to child soon.
